I received a call from a distraught home owner today regarding a Living Social Carpet Cleaning special offer in Raleigh. (I’ve heard similar from Groupon carpet cleaning specials in Raleigh.)
The carpet cleaning she purchased promised to clean her carpet for very little money. These deals are usually half the going rate, and the provider actually only gets half of that cut-rate fee. What kind of job do you really think you are going to get when the provider is getting paid half of half?
At any rate, let’s get back to the story of our distraught homeowner. The discount cleaning crew left her carpet very wet and now her whole house smells just like a “soured dish rag”. The carpet has been wet for 3 days now. The carpet cleaner is supposedly coming back on Monday, but can you imagine what that poor lady’s house will smell like come Monday, not to mention the mildew?
Chase those “great deals” and hire those cheap companies if you want, but you will get what you pay for. Responsible home owners ought to know this by now. Call Ace Rug when you want to do it right the first time. And remember …
“The cheapest isn’t always the best but the best always ends up being the cheapest.”
